TD strikes Gold and Silver at the International Design Awards
A double victory for TD at the International Design Awards (IDA): we won gold and silver for Firda’s new brand identity and the season brochure of Nationale Opera & Ballet. Two completely different projects, but with the same core principle: design as a powerful tool to make identity and experience tangible.
Firda: Branding that transforms space
Together with Firda, we received gold in the Advertising / Promotion / Signs / Exhibits / POP category and silver in the Print / Maps & Environmental Graphics category for creating a brand experience that translates Firda’s core values – personal, social, and professional growth – into physical space.
The challenge: integrating a visual identity into diverse school locations, each with its own distinct character.
Our solution: branding that balances uniformity and individuality.
The pilot location, Cambuur Stadium, became the blueprint for this transformation. At this location, the brand identity was fully implemented, creating a powerful and consistent experience. This project underscores that branding goes beyond a logo or color scheme – it is a complete, physical brand experience that seamlessly merges visual communication with spatial design.
Nationale Opera & Ballet: Design that tells a
story
The season’s brochure of Nationale Opera & Ballet won gold in the Print / Catalogs category – a testament to the power of design in translating artistic vision into an immersive experience. The brochure, the performing arts institution’s flagship communication tool, embodies the core promise: “Part of something greater than yourself.”
Through layered typography, a carefully curated color palette, and dynamic design language, the result is a timeless piece that captures the emotional impact of opera and ballet.
Design that moves
With these awards, we reaffirm our position at TD as a strategic creative agency that helps brands and organizations make their identities tangible and relevant – whether in physical spaces, print, or digital environments. Design is not just packaging; it is an experience. Visual communication plays a crucial role in this, enabling brands to convey their story persuasively and intuitively. These awards are proof of that.
