The City as Data Space

The project “The City as Data Space” is an innovation project in which data from and about Amsterdam is shared with new technology, and new applications are created. Seven parties (Triply, Municipality of Amsterdam, University of Amsterdam, IJsfontein, Shosho, Lifely, and Total Design), all connected to the Amsterdam region, are working together to realize this project. Each contributing their own expertise to the experimental development and application of the data space.

Thanks in part to support from the European Union (ERDF grant), we are working on the following results:

– Technical realization of Dataruimte Amsterdam

– Supply and enclosure to the data space by the City of Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam

– Innovative services from IJsfontein, Shosho, Lifely, and Total Design

– Sharing and developing knowledge and experience in a Hackathon as part of the Future 10 Days of Amsterdam

– Contributing to the public exhibition Amsterdam in Motion as part of Amsterdam’s 750 years
